The Standard Teak range of A Grade teak garden furniture is produced from selected Teak (Tectona Grandis), brass fastenings and fittings to guarantee a long, low maintenance life. The whole process is controlled from felling, milling and machining to the fine finishing, where we use 800 grit sand paper. This fine finishing gives our furniture a glass like finish, extremely smooth to the touch while enhancing the impervious quality of the wood.
Teak is renowned throughout the world for its durability and immunity to the elements and rotting due to its unique oil and rubber content. All the wood selected comes from Java, Indonesia, where our team works closely with Perum Perhutani, the Indonesian Government Forestry Department, to ensure the conservation of the plantation and its surrounding environment.
You will find all of our furniture is of a uniform colour, unlike lesser quality furniture where they use white wood and black wood (wood nearest the roots). The quality of our furniture has to be seen to be believed. We manufacture our teak garden furniture from plantation A grade timber which is controlled under licence by Perum Perhutani, forestry department of Indonesian Government.
There is no deforestation involved in the process of creating our teak garden furniture as the raw material used to make our garden furniture is not indigenous to java, Indonesia.
